We can be good people.
We can recognize the good in others.
We can work to uplift others:
mentally, spiritually, emotionally.
We can live, really live.
We can love, really love.
My heart hurts right now, so much, for all those who have been attacked and hurt by others. Every news story about situations in India and all over the world, including my hometown, rips a wound in my spirit.
Eradicating this fear and despair is difficult. I know my surroundings are dangerous. Every place is dangerous as long as there are people without hope and without compunction living in it. Sitting locked in my room, despairing and grieving, does not help. I cannot hide. We cannot hide. We can do work to make sure people have hope and a desire to live and let others live, unharmed. We can teach, love, and uplift. We can be brave and strong and stand up for what is right.
